Delicious hot or chilled, this apple cider-flavored eggnog is a favorite of children and grown-ups alike. If you like, you can stir in applejack or rum for adult gatherings.

Time to prepare: 10 minutes
Difficulty: Average

Ingredients

For 4 servings you will need:
2 eggs
1/4 up sugar
1 cup apple cider
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
3cups milk, boiling hot or chilled
Whipped cream and extra nutmeg for garnish

Directions

In bowl. beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy Add apple cider, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

If serving hot, whisk egg mixture into hot milk. Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture simmers (do not boil). Pour immediately into heated mugs. Top with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.

If serving cold, whisk egg mixture into chilled milk. Serve in chilled
glasses, garnished with whipped cream and nutmeg.

Tips: To make ahead, if serving chilled, pour into pitcher, cover and
refrigerate. If serving hot, prepare egg mixture, cover and refrigerate. When ready to serve, pour milk into
saucepan, heat to simmering, then whisk in egg mixture.
